Credit Officer (SME)

What you will do

• Apply delegated credit authority to sanction SME transactions, including new lending, refinances, and restructures.
• Support the expansion of the Markets proposition specifically for FX to SME clients.
• Collaborate with Area Directors, Relationship Managers, and Product Partners.
• Maintain high credit quality across the portfolio to ensure sustainable business growth.
• Ensure strict compliance with bank and regulatory standards to minimize risk.
• Contribute to policy and sector reviews to optimize credit outcomes.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience in credit risk and financial analysis.
• Experience in Markets, specifically regarding FX lending decisions.
• Well-developed communication and influencing skills with the confidence to challenge the status quo.
• Ability to manage conflicting demands and deliver results within tight timescales.
• Sound judgement and strong decision-making skills with high attention to detail.
