People Coordinator (HR)

What you will do

• Conduct pre- and post-employment validations in accordance with local compliance and legislation.
• Support onboarding by maintaining new-hire templates, tax forms, welcome letters, and presentation materials.
• Maintain employment permits, eligibility documents, confidential personnel records, and HR data.
• Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and escalate issues when appropriate.
• Administer statutory benefits, HR compliance reporting, audits, and related documentation.
• Compile People metrics from HRIS, payroll, surveys, employment records, and labor statistics, using dashboards and automated reporting to recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

• Ability to attend the Ottawa hub regularly as part of a hybrid work arrangement.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication, interpersonal, presentation, analytical, and listening skills.
• Ability to multitask, work independently, and follow company policies and procedures.
• Experience or certification in HR is advantageous.
• Previous HRIS experience is advantageous.
