What you will do

• Own the roadmap and architecture decisions for the internal localization infrastructure product.
• Partner closely with engineers to design and ship multi-platform systems for evolving localization needs.
• Build functional prototypes independently to validate concepts and clarify requirements.
• Design self-serve workflows that reduce reliance on centralized request queues.
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted translation while maintaining quality and consistency through targeted human review.
• Manage translation and localization vendors and make informed build-versus-buy decisions.

Requirements

• Senior-level technical product management, solutions architecture, solutions consulting, engineering, localization, or content operations experience.
• Strong product instincts and the ability to architect multi-platform systems and evaluate long-term design tradeoffs.
• Deep familiarity with headless CMS architecture and experience building simple web applications or functional prototypes.
• Working knowledge of Node, TypeScript, modern web frameworks, and AI development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
• Ability to collaborate directly with engineers, pair on problems, make technical decisions, and manage cross-functional stakeholders.
• Curiosity about AI-enabled workflows and an iterative approach focused on shipping, learning, and improving.

Nice to have

• Localization experience, including tools, workflows, vendor relationships, and platforms such as Phrase.
• Sanity experience.
• Experience developing defensible frameworks for determining when human review is required.
