Salary: $178,500–$255,000 + equity

What you will do

• Serve as embedded product counsel to Product Managers and Engineering teams, providing advice on new features, pricing, and packaging.
• Analyze open source software (OSS) licenses and ensure compatibility and compliance across all products.
• Draft and maintain product-facing legal terms, including service-specific terms and subscription agreements.
• Negotiate commercial provisions in customer and partner agreements regarding IP ownership, indemnification, and warranties.
• Advise on AI-enabled product features, focusing on training data provenance and evolving regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with GRC on software supply chain security and regulatory regimes like the EU Cyber Resilience Act.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 6+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in-house at a software, cloud, or developer tools company.
• Deep expertise in open source software licensing and copyleft/permissive regimes.
• Proven experience negotiating SaaS and cloud services agreements for enterprise customers.
• Technical fluency in containers, registries, CI/CD, APIs, and software supply chain security.
