What you will do

• Build and lead the Data Platform Team, encompassing platform engineering, data governance, and event infrastructure.
• Own the target-state Snowflake architecture, including performance optimization and FinOps cost governance.
• Establish an enterprise data governance operating model covering quality, metadata, lineage, and policy enforcement.
• Design the connection layer for data domains, supporting API, SQL, and event stream access for users and AI agents.
• Implement a medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and a federated data product publishing lifecycle.
• Manage event streaming and messaging infrastructure (e.g., MuleSoft) to support event-driven consumers.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 12+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or data architecture.
• 5+ years in a leadership role building a technical function or team from the ground up.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Snowflake, including security and workload management.
• Proven experience designing data governance programs and access/authorization models.
• Experience with event streaming infrastructure such as Kafka or MuleSoft.

Nice to have

• Experience enabling platforms for AI, intelligent automation, or agent-based workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
