What you will do

• Define and execute the long-term technical strategy for the data platform to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data platform engineers, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Data Insights teams to deliver customer-facing reporting and analytics features.
• Drive architectural decisions for data systems, balancing immediate needs with future flexibility.
• Implement comprehensive data governance policies, security standards, and quality frameworks.
• Establish operational monitoring and alerting practices to ensure high availability of data systems.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data platform engineering, distributed systems, or infrastructure engineering.
• 5+ years of people management experience leading senior engineers and technical leads.
• Proven track record of building data platforms and ML systems for both internal and customer-facing products.
• Strong expertise with the modern data stack, including dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, and Kafka.
• Deep understanding of data governance, quality frameworks, and security best practices (including HIPAA).
• Must be based in the USA.
