What you will do

• Define the long-term vision and roadmap for the data and AI platform ecosystem.
• Lead global engineering teams building streaming, ingestion, warehouse, data ocean, experimentation, audience, governance, and observability platforms.
• Oversee platforms processing petabytes of data and billions of real-time data points daily.
• Drive performance, scalability, reliability, security, accessibility, and cost-efficiency improvements.
• Partner with senior engineering, product, and business leaders to support gaming, content creation, monetization, and enterprise operations.
• Advance AI/ML adoption for personalized player experiences, content discovery, operational efficiency, and enterprise workflows.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Deep experience designing distributed data systems, large-scale warehouses, and cloud-native architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on expertise with Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake, data governance tools such as Alation or Collibra, and data observability solutions.
• Experience with experimentation platforms including Optimizely, Statsig, or LaunchDarkly, plus A/B testing and feature management.
• Must be based in the United States and work under the role’s hybrid arrangement. Proven leadership of global engineering teams is required; prior Sr. Director experience is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS SageMaker and Databricks MLflow for model development, deployment, and MLOps.
• Experience making buy-versus-build decisions for data and platform capabilities.
