TL;DR
Electronics Technician 3 (electronic security and IT systems): Installing, configuring, testing, maintaining, and commissioning electronic, network, and security systems for a federal government client with an accent on field installation, troubleshooting, quality control, and safety compliance. Location: Onsite in Chantilly, Virginia, United States, with 50% travel. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.
Salary: $60,000–$180,000 USD per year.

What you will do
- Install, maintain, configure, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic, network, IT, and security systems onsite.
- Install raceways, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, panels, field devices, and system components, including copper and fiber-optic connections.
- Lead commissioning activities, execute testing and installation plans, and document results and quality inspections.
- Review design documentation and drawing packages for constructability and participate in site surveys and client meetings.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, procurement, staging, project metrics, and resource planning.
- Lead by example, mentor crew members, coordinate with project teams and other trades, and enforce safety and quality requirements.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
- Six or more years of electronics installation and/or maintenance experience across multiple systems and client programs.
- High school diploma or GED plus qualifying military electronics training, an accredited electronics technician program, or an electrical apprenticeship; additional electronics installation or maintenance experience is required.
- Strong problem-solving, technical, communication, presentation, organization, and time-management skills.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and meeting quality and schedule objectives.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required; 50% travel is expected.
Nice to have
- Experience with electronic security systems, including IDS, ACS, CCTV, access control, intercom, and related vendor platforms.
- Three years of focused electronic security systems experience.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
