Compensation: Up to $110/hour or $158,852 – $230,000 per year (depending on locality).

What you will do

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies, including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate microprocessor, solid-state, and electromechanical protective relays.
• Analyze test results and author comprehensive engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical failures under time-critical conditions.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians and serve as technical lead on multi-discipline project teams.

Requirements

• NETA Level III or Level IV Certification (current and in good standing).
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage environments.
• Expert knowledge of NETA MTS and ATS standards.
• Proficiency with test equipment: Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, and SKF.
• Ability to interpret one-line/three-line diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel up to 75%.

Nice to have

• NETA Level IV Certification.
• NICET Certification.
• Experience with SF6 breaker maintenance.
• Degree in Power Systems Engineering or related field.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience on testing projects.
