CCoE Telecommunications Engineering Technician III (Telecommunications): Providing on-site support for IT and Audio-Visual installations within the CCoE Transformation program with an accent on hardware integration, cabling, and system commissioning. Focus on building AV racks, installing secure equipment, and troubleshooting complex AV systems across various sites.

Location: Onsite at Fort Gordon, GA. Requires willingness to travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites (50-75% travel).

Salary: $28.79 - $33.11 per hour

What you will do

• Build AV racks based on engineering drawings and lead on-site integration.
• Install and label communications infrastructure, including cables, panels, and electronics.
• Mount AV equipment such as monitors, speakers, and microphones in secure spaces.
• Fabricate, terminate, and install AV cabling.
• Test, commission, and troubleshoot various AV systems.
• Perform inventory management and record configuration information for installed equipment.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in testing and integration of audio-visual (A/V) equipment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Valid passport and valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to perform physical labor: lift NIOSH limits, climb ladders, and work in confined or high spaces.
• Ability to follow basic flow diagrams and work effectively in a team.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice to have

• J-STD Certification(s).
• Experience with fiber and copper testing.
• AV certifications.
