Location: San Mateo, California, United States; hybrid with two onsite days per week. Full relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates. International travel and calls outside standard working hours may be required.

Salary: $271,300–$406,900 USD base pay range, with potential bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead a team of privacy legal experts advising business teams across the Americas.
• Provide strategic advice on US and global privacy, data protection, consumer protection, and breach notification laws.
• Partner with the Global Privacy Team to maintain and scale the global privacy program.
• Work with Product, Engineering, Information Security, IT, Marketing, and legal specialists on privacy and data matters.
• Design, implement, and optimize privacy policies, standards, processes, and compliance programs.
• Balance consumer privacy protection with responsible business use of data and outstanding player experiences.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of experience managing US domestic and global privacy and data protection compliance matters.
• Combination of private practice and in-house legal experience, including supervisory or management responsibility.
• Qualification for and willingness to obtain and maintain Registered In-House Counsel status in California; California bar membership is preferred.
• Experience creating and implementing privacy policies, data protection programs, and agile compliance processes.
• Knowledge of data governance, data lifecycles, social privacy, emerging digital technologies, and AI.
• Ability to communicate complex legal, technical, and business concepts to non-legal professionals and senior management.

• Privacy certifications such as CIPP/US or CIPP/E.
