Salary: $254,000 – $310,000

What you will do

• Define, execute, and scale the global privacy vision, governance architecture, and privacy risk assessment framework.
• Lead the company's Privacy function, managing vendor agreements, privacy impact assessments, and consumer data rights.
• Partner with engineering and product stakeholders to embed Privacy by Design methodologies into development lifecycles.
• Advise data science teams on privacy-compliant training and deployment of LLMs, personalization engines, and listener telemetry.
• Oversee regulatory compliance in ad sales, programmatic advertising, identity resolution, and third-party ad-tech integrations.
• Lead the legal response to data security incidents as the privacy lead on the Incident Response Team.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New York.
• Juris Doctorate from a nationally recognized law school.
• 15 years of legal experience, including 8-10 years of direct privacy law experience.
• 8-10 years of people leadership experience scaling high-performing teams.
• CIPP-US certification required.
• Expert knowledge of US, Canadian, European, and UK privacy laws (CCPA, GDPR, PIPEDA, LGPD).
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Nice to have

• In-house legal experience.
• CIPP-EU or other professional privacy certifications.
• Knowledge of automotive technology systems or smart connected devices.
