What you will do
- Review installation prerequisites for applications and MES environments, identifying risks and preventing deployment blockers.
- Lead remote installations of applications and MES environments in customer infrastructures.
- Deploy virtual machines using ISO installations on Hyper-V and VMware.
- Configure Kubernetes distributions in on-premises and cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot deployment issues by analyzing logs, containers, and system events.
- Provide infrastructure consulting, collaborate with customers and partners, and document corrective actions and best practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with Linux, including networking, volumes, logs, and services.
- Solid knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift for deployment and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with VMware or Hyper-V, including virtual machine setup, configuration, and snapshots.
- Strong investigative, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English is required for communication with international customers and stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and initiative in improving technology practices.
Nice to have
- Experience engaging with Chinese-speaking customers.
- Knowledge of Kafka, ClickHouse, SQL Server, or the ITIL framework.
- Manufacturing domain knowledge in semiconductor, electronics, medical device, or industrial equipment manufacturing.
- Exposure to data platforms for operational reporting and analytics.
