Business Analyst Consultant (Fintech)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid position with office attendance determined by the Hiring Manager.

What you will do

• Perform technical assessments and business analysis for hirify.global clients in financial services and merchant industries.
• Analyze data trends, client challenges, strategic goals, and pain points to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop profitability assessments and contribute to business cases and the management of card and payment portfolios.
• Design and support financially viable testing approaches to optimize go-to-market strategies.
• Define product enhancements, requirements, and new features with product and design teams.
• Support clients with the technical implementation of relevant hirify.global products and services while providing business analysis expertise.

Requirements

• Proven experience in business analyst roles.
• Expertise in Agile delivery methods and related tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Background in payment, retail banking, or retail merchant industries.
• Flexible, collaborative approach to working with different clients, with ownership of delivery.
• Ability to tailor presentations of analysis, requirements, and recommendations to audiences with different levels of seniority and technical proficiency.
• Strong consultative, analytical, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• Awareness of profitability drivers and how to calculate profitability.
• Ability to communicate evidence and analysis against strategic objectives and produce explicit recommended actions.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering product features end to end.
• Project management experience across multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to write clean code in SQL and Python, C#, or Java, with knowledge of relevant industry-standard libraries and frameworks.
• Ability to guide, influence, and inspire performance across the technical development landscape.
