Procurement Specialist, Ocean Freight

Location: PH GBS Manila; hybrid schedule with onsite reporting twice a week in BGC, Taguig City. Day shift (APAC) schedule required.

What you will do

• Lead ocean freight bid and negotiation processes, including source identification, RFI and RFP development, bid scheduling, validation, analysis, and sourcing recommendations.
• Own supplier master data and price information records in MACOS/SAP, ensure contract compliance, and maintain source plans across regional systems.
• Manage forecasting inputs, procurement finance communications, commodity performance metrics, MIS, and Visual Data Board processes.
• Prepare cost projections, risk estimates, productivity tracking, working capital analysis, and clean sheet analyses.
• Maintain commodity market intelligence covering manufacturers, feedstock indicators, technology trends, freight and duty data, exchange rates, and competitive intelligence.
• Coordinate supplier communications, corrective actions, business continuity activities, payment processes, invoice exceptions, and cost-of-quality recoveries above $5,000.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 4–5 years of experience in a corporate environment, preferably in Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related operational function.
• Experience with SAP ERP, SRM, CRM, or a comparable system.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, communication, interpersonal, and process-following skills.
• Experience with negotiation, international logistics, foreign Incoterms, supplier management, or multinational companies is preferred.
• English communication skills, onsite availability twice a week in BGC, Taguig City, and willingness to work the APAC day shift are required.
