Venture Designer

TL;DR

Venture Designer (Venture Building): Creating and validating new technology venture concepts through market research, human-centred design, rapid experimentation, and user testing with an accent on opportunity discovery, proposition design, and evidence-backed decision-making. Focus on designing three-month venture sprints, testing uncertain assumptions, synthesising market signals, and presenting investment recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Location: Hybrid role based in London, with regular office attendance.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end venture design sprints from investment themes through validated, venture-backable concepts.
• Research markets, emerging technologies, competitive landscapes, and structural opportunity gaps.
• Generate and prioritise venture concepts using human-centred design and evidence from real users.
• Design and run rapid experiments, including A/B tests, prototype tests, landing page tests, concierge MVPs, and user interviews.
• Synthesise findings into clear recommendations and present shortlisted concepts to the Investment Committee.
• Collaborate with venture designers, builders, investors, corporate partners, and functional specialists.

Requirements

• Experience developing concepts from ambiguous opportunity spaces through validated propositions.
• Strong strategic thinking, practical execution skills, and comfort working across research, strategy, prototyping, and validation.
• Deep experience with market research and competitive analysis.
• Experience designing and running rapid experiments to validate assumptions with real users.
• Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder presentation skills.
• Curiosity, creativity, disciplined prioritisation, and comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced sprint work.

Nice to have

• Fluency in German.
• Experience in innovation, venture studio, or venture builder environments.
• Experience working with corporate partners and navigating stakeholder dynamics.
• Familiarity with Figma and no-code or low-code prototyping tools.
• Knowledge of business model design, unit economics, or sectors such as fintech, healthtech, sustainability, or consumer technology.
