What you will do

• Set construction safety standards and oversee safety performance across the HPC and AI data center build program.
• Hold general contractors, partners, and subcontractors accountable to owner safety standards.
• Direct risk assessments, job planning, site audits, corrective actions, and controls for high-risk construction activities.
• Govern safe energization and commissioning, including NFPA 70E, energized-work permits, and lockout/tagout.
• Lead contractor qualification, incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and cross-site lessons learned.
• Build and coach project safety teams across multiple sites and report safety metrics to the VP of Health & Safety.

Requirements

• 10+ years of construction EHS experience leading safety on large, complex projects.
• Deep knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926, NFPA 70E, electrical safety, and commissioning safety for energized systems.
• Experience managing general contractors and subcontractors across multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience building and leading multi-site safety teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including senior leadership and external partner presentations.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; CSP strongly preferred, with OSHA 500/510 and current First Aid/CPR required.

Nice to have

• Experience in data center, hyperscale, mission-critical, or power construction.
• CHST, CIH, or ASP certification.
