What you will do

• Support engineering design, analysis, and specifications for facility fire and life safety systems.
• Develop building and fire code compliance documents for launch facilities.
• Perform hazardous material analysis, including chemical classification and inventory management.
• Support facility construction teams and develop field solutions.
• Conduct commissioning activities during pre-test and AHJ testing phases.
• Review and comment on contractor shop drawing design packages.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in the design and construction of fire protection systems or consulting.
• Must be based in the Memphis, TN area and work onsite.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
• Ability to travel for project needs, potentially 50% or more of the time.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer License (P.E.).
• Working knowledge of Building & Fire Codes and NFPA Standards.
• NICET certification.
• Experience with FDS software modeling and Autodesk Revit.
• Knowledge of OSHA compliance.
