What you will do
- Engage stakeholders to gather requirements, map current-state workflows, and design Epic builds aligned with operational goals.
- Configure records, master files, and tools while maintaining environment parity and adhering to change management standards.
- Develop and execute unit, integrated, and UAT test plans to resolve defects and validate system interfaces.
- Manage system implementations and upgrades using Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
- Collaborate with interface teams on HL7, FHIR, and other data exchange workflows to ensure seamless integration.
- Design and implement customized training programs and maintain the CareConnect curriculum for end users.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or 10+ years of experience).
- 5-7 years of experience in system analysis and support within a healthcare environment.
- Experience with Epic applications and a deep understanding of clinical or revenue cycle workflows.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering, workflow design, and SDLC practices.
- Must be based in Ohio to be eligible for remote work.
- For training-focused roles: Epic Training Environment Build certification and 2 Epic Principal Trainer certifications.
Nice to have
- Current Epic Certification or Proficiency in modules like HB, PB, Cadence, Referrals, Orders, or ClinDoc.
- Experience with SQL, Clarity, Caboodle, or reporting tools like SlicerDicer and Radar.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or higher) in a related field.
