Staff Product Manager (Fintech)

Location: Remote Canada

Salary: CAD 181,000–241,000 per year

Affirm is building consumer credit and banking products designed to make borrowing more transparent, including buy-now-pay-later services without hidden fees or compounding interest.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end consumer deposit product and its integration into Affirm’s broader platform.
• Lead product strategy, roadmap development, launch sequencing, positioning, and consumer-facing messaging.
• Drive bank operations readiness across regulatory compliance, process maturity, vendor selection, and integrations.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Marketing, Branding, Content, Design, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Treasury, Capital Markets, and external vendors.
• Support loan originations through the bank entity and scale the deposit product toward a multi-billion-dollar deposit base.
• Communicate product strategy, tradeoffs, and launch readiness to senior leadership and the Bank Board.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product management experience and the ability to lead complex, ambiguous initiatives independently.
• Experience launching or growing a regulated, consumer-facing financial services product with go-to-market ownership.
• Experience leading high-visibility, cross-functional programs involving multiple stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Technical fluency in system design, data models, API architecture, and core banking platform integrations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with regulators, executives, and engineering teams.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted tools such as Claude or Cursor, plus a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
