Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Buffalo, New York, United States; on-site work in the Buffalo office

Salary: $120,000–$165,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead structural engineers, designers, and technicians in producing construction documents, drawings, specifications, bidding materials, and construction administration deliverables.
• Design cost-effective structural systems, perform calculations, and coordinate designs with other disciplines.
• Visit existing and active construction sites to document conditions, estimate costs, and inspect work.
• Prepare technical specifications, engineering reports, and complex or specialty structural designs.
• Review calculations, project documents, shop drawings, and product submittals.
• Manage project budgets, hours, resources, client relationships, workload allocation, and business proposal support.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of experience in the consulting engineering industry.
• BS degree in Civil Engineering.
• New York State PE license required.
• Experience with computer analysis software for project design and analysis.
• Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to work independently, collaborate across disciplines, and meet deadlines.
