What you will do

• Architect and design a cloud-native data platform on Azure and Databricks.
• Assess existing data pipelines and engineering practices to identify and resolve technical debt and inefficiencies.
• Define architectural standards and guardrails to ensure platform scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Enable AI and advanced analytics workloads by establishing data quality, lineage, and observability standards.
• Mentor senior and staff engineers on architectural design and engineering best practices.
• Develop and maintain a data engineering technology roadmap aligned with business priorities.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience with big data technologies including Databricks, Spark, and Azure.
• Deep expertise in SQL-based data modeling and polyglot storage architectures.
• Proven ability to influence technical direction and drive adoption across teams without formal authority.
• Experience designing data platforms that support AI/ML and advanced analytics workloads.
• Strong understanding of cloud cost optimization (FinOps) and platform reliability.

• Deep understanding of Databricks pricing models and Azure cloud cost drivers.
• Experience in healthcare or revenue cycle management domains.
