Senior Vice President, Data & AI Strategy and Transformation (AI)

Location: Arlington, VA; qualified remote candidates may be considered if residing in a state where hirify.global or one of its subsidiaries has an established physical presence.

Base salary: $187,200–$300,300 annually, plus eligibility for up to 20% annual incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise Data and AI strategy, operating-model design, transformation roadmaps, investment planning, and executive decision-making.
• Design and implement data-fabric and data-mesh capabilities on a layered lakehouse foundation, including metadata, lineage, data quality, APIs, orchestration, security, and observability.
• Guide the creation and adoption of governed data products for BI, APIs, events, files, machine-learning features, and AI context.
• Define and build a governed agentic AI platform with orchestration, approved tools, bounded agents, context engineering, memory governance, evaluation, release controls, and rollback paths.
• Operationalize responsible AI, model governance, privacy, classification, retention, human oversight, explainability, fairness, and evidence-ready traceability.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, vendors, budgets, hiring, performance management, executive governance, and delivery toward measurable outcomes.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive experience across enterprise data, analytics, AI, architecture, engineering, and technology transformation.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, quantitative, or business field, or equivalent executive and technical experience.
• Hands-on expertise with data-fabric and data-mesh architectures, lakehouse or medallion platforms, semantic layers, metadata, lineage, data quality, master data management, and reusable data products.
• Experience building governed enterprise agentic AI platforms or orchestration harnesses, including evaluation frameworks, release gates, monitoring, and rollback evidence.
• Technical fluency with SQL, Python or comparable languages, data modeling, dbt, Dagster or Airflow, Snowflake, CI/CD, testing, security, and observability.
• Experience in financial services, lending, credit, payments, risk, or another regulated data-intensive industry, plus C-suite, vendor, budget, and team leadership experience.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree in a technical, quantitative, or business discipline.
• Experience creating enterprise architecture, data-product, governance, ontology, knowledge graph, context, memory, or agentic AI frameworks.
• Experience leading mixed internal, offshore, and vendor delivery models while retaining internal architecture and acceptance authority.
