Specialist Solutions Architect (Azure Infrastructure & AI Platform)

Location: Remote within the United States; willingness to travel up to 30% as needed

Salary: $180,000–$247,500 USD per year, plus potential annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Guide enterprise customers through the full lifecycle of Databricks on Azure, from architectural design through production deployment and platform administration.
• Architect and scale compute and networking infrastructure for AI workloads, enterprise LLM deployments, and high-performance generative AI applications.
• Provide technical expertise in Azure infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, cloud networking, security, identity management, and platform administration.
• Demonstrate Databricks solutions in competitive scenarios and build custom solutions that support technical wins.
• Coordinate solution delivery across data, solutions, specialist, and partner teams.
• Share structured customer feedback to influence product direction and address competitive gaps.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical role.
• Hands-on experience designing cloud infrastructure for AI/ML workloads, including GPUs or TPUs, model serving, vectorized retrieval, and performance-cost optimization.
• Advanced knowledge of Azure security, identity, enterprise networking, deployments, high availability, disaster recovery, observability, and cost management.
• Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or comparable IaC tools.
• Strong coding skills in Python and SQL, including live coding, debugging, and solution building.
• Expertise in distributed data systems, scalable pipelines, streaming architectures, lakehouse patterns, and cloud-native data platforms; willingness to travel up to 30%.

Nice to have

• Databricks or Microsoft Azure certifications.
• Experience with Snowflake, AWS native services, or Azure Synapse.
• Background in a data, AI, or cloud provider company.
