Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant: Managing core disbursement accounting processes and international statutory compliance with an accent on P2P cycles, fixed assets, and software capitalization. Location: Must be based in London, UK. This role operates on a hybrid schedule requiring two days of in-office collaboration per week (Tuesdays & Wednesdays).

Salary: £49,000 - £70,000

What you will do

• Supervise an offshore team of 3 contractors to ensure accurate processing of vendor invoices and employee expenses.
• Oversee the full Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle, including vendor maintenance, payments, and monthly accruals.
• Manage fixed and intangible asset lifecycles, including capitalization, depreciation, and lease accounting.
• Ensure statutory accounting compliance for UK and Polish entities in collaboration with 3rd party accountants.
• Perform comprehensive reconciliations for disbursement-related expense, asset, and liability accounts.
• Contribute to month-end and quarter-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience including AP supervisory experience.
• Proven knowledge of UK and Polish accounting principles and rules.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work from the London office two days per week.

Nice to have

• ICAEW ACA, ACCA, or CPA certification.
• Big 4 accounting firm experience.
• Previous experience in a technology company.
• Proficiency in Netsuite, Ramp, Tipalti, and Slack.
