What you will do

• Write insightful management commentary based on deep understanding of business products.
• Collaborate with engineers and data teams to automate production elements of reporting.
• Maintain and scale financial reporting policies, procedures, and controls.
• Lead the full year-end process, from drafting annual reports to final auditor sign-off.
• Review new products and contracts to establish correct accounting treatment and implementation.
• Support the production of ESG sustainability reporting and disclosures.

Requirements

• Qualified chartered accountant (ACA or CA).
• Professional experience in audit combined with financial reporting and control outside of practice.
• Must be based in the UK (distributed working within the UK is possible with ad hoc London visits).
• Strong understanding of the banking regulatory landscape and financial controls.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into simple, clear communication for diverse stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in a listed company or a regulated financial services environment.
• Knowledge of US reporting and SOX compliance.
• SQL skills to drive reporting efficiency.
• Experience with ESG reporting or auditing sustainability information (carbon footprint, CFD/CSRD).
