What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of applied scientists through hiring, coaching, and setting technical direction.
• Shape AI architectures and review designs to ensure systems are dependable and defensible.
• Own AI system readiness end-to-end, from problem framing to production monitoring.
• Decide on strategic investments in agentic assistants and large-scale review capabilities.
• Partner with product, engineering, and legal experts to ship production-scale AI solutions.
• Represent the company at industry events and communicate technical nuance to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in computer science or quantitative discipline (or equivalent experience).
• At least 6 years in applied AI/ML, including at least 1 year as a people leader.
• Deep experience building and owning production-ready AI systems throughout their lifecycle.
• Fluency with modern generative AI and sound judgment on system reliability.
• Strong software engineering judgment and programming skills.
• Statistical thinking and rigor in data understanding, evaluation, and error analysis.

• Interest in legal technology and the justice system.
• Experience developing information retrieval systems or agentic harnesses.
• Experience building reliable AI systems at scale.
