TL;DR

Staff Software Engineer (ML): Developing perception algorithms and deep learning models for online mapping to power the hirify.global Driver with an accent on real-time world changes and autonomy. Focus on building novel verification technologies, integrating production-ready ML solutions, and ensuring safety for driverless operation.

Location: Hybrid in Mountain View, CA (at least 3 days per week in office)

Salary: $189,000 - $303,000 per Year

What you will do

• Lead the implementation and ideation of perception algorithms that power the hirify.global Driver.
• Research and develop state-of-the-art deep learning and ML models for challenging and diverse scenarios.
• Develop novel verification and validation technologies and techniques.
• Collaborate with online maps, simulation, and safety teams to ensure readiness for operation without a vehicle operator.
• Build infrastructure and tests to support critical deployment go/no-go decisions.
• Integrate and deploy production-ready solutions into the core codebase.

Requirements

• Excellent software engineering skills in Python and/or C++.
• Extensive experience with deep learning frameworks, such as PyTorch.
• Extensive experience in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or other AI fields (industry experience or publication record).
• Must be based in or able to work from Mountain View, CA in a hybrid capacity.

Nice to have

• Relevant industry experience in self-driving vehicles, autonomy, and/or robotics projects.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
• Strong track record of top-tier publications in fields like computer vision (CVPR, ECCV, ICCV) or machine learning (ICML, NeurIPS).
