AI / Machine Learning Talent (AI/ML)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; hybrid with onsite attendance three days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Salary: $154,100–$341,600 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, evaluate, and improve machine learning and AI systems in production.
• Translate healthcare revenue cycle business problems into AI/ML solutions and measurable outcomes.
• Develop experiments, metrics, datasets, and success criteria for model evaluation.
• Productize models as scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient services, including model serving and APIs.
• Optimize training and inference for latency, throughput, and cost, including distributed training where applicable.
• Partner with engineering, product, research, and domain experts while communicating technical findings and tradeoffs.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with machine learning or AI systems in real-world or production environments.
• Python required, with familiarity with SQL and potentially Java, C++, or Go.
• Experience with model development, evaluation, optimization, experimentation, or real-world data analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field required.
• Relevant industry experience typically ranges from 3+ years for senior profiles to advanced leadership or ownership experience for Staff/Principal profiles.
• Ability to work in the San Jose hybrid arrangement with onsite attendance three days per week.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PhD, particularly for research-oriented roles.
• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, PEFT, or RLHF.
• Experience with statistics, causal inference, model serving, distributed systems, or multi-GPU training.
• Publications or novel research contributions.
