Salary: $197,000 - $274,000 USD (depending on location)

What you will do

• Lead and grow the Verifications engineering team, setting technical direction and driving career development.
• Manage the reliability and quality of a broad portfolio of fulfillment integrations, partnering with vendors to reduce friction.
• Collaborate with Product to define and execute the roadmap for employment, education, drug, and health screening products.
• Drive technical strategy to scale integration-heavy systems, improving automation and reducing manual exceptions.
• Lead the team's adoption of AI-assisted development and agentic coding tools.
• Represent the Verifications domain in cross-functional planning with Product, Compliance, and Engineering leadership.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as an engineering manager with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong command of service architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience managing complex third-party integration environments and improving operational metrics.
• Experience working on regulated products where data accuracy and legal compliance are non-negotiable.
• Strong incident management skills and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to a hirify.global hub (Denver or San Francisco) to work in-office 3+ days a week.
