Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid, with three days per week in the San Francisco, CA office

Salary: $200,000–$230,000 annual base pay for California candidates, plus eligibility for the equity plan

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of software engineers while supporting growth, collaboration, and technical excellence.
• Champion AI-assisted engineering practices, including effective prompting, critical review of generated code, and responsible tool selection.
• Drive high-impact product initiatives with Product, Design, Quality, Customer Success, and Sales.
• Recruit and onboard engineering talent and provide clarity on scope, timelines, and delivery quality.
• Collaborate with architects and senior engineers on platform architecture and technical strategy.
• Promote inclusion, transparency, accountability, secure coding, testing, and strong engineering execution.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or in an equivalent technical leadership role.
• Strong experience with modern web application development using React, Node, Ruby, or similar technologies.
• Experience building and scaling enterprise SaaS products, ideally in B2B, FinTech, or PropTech.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar, including validating output before shipping and coaching others in disciplined usage.
• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience, with strong organizational and cross-functional communication skills.
