Director, Strategic Procurement (Technology Procurement)

What you will do

• Develop and execute enterprise-wide procurement, sourcing, and value-creation strategies aligned with organizational priorities.
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives, competitive bidding, supplier negotiations, contract renewals, and strategic supplier partnerships.
• Manage procurement transformation, process optimization, digital procurement technologies, policies, governance, and best practices.
• Analyze spend, total cost of ownership, ROI, market intelligence, and procurement KPIs to identify efficiencies and support financial planning.
• Manage supplier risk, continuity planning, compliance programs, performance scorecards, and business reviews.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team while advising executive leadership and partnering with Finance, Legal, Security, Engineering, IT, and business leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive procurement or strategic sourcing experience, including 5+ years at Director level or above.
• Experience building procurement strategies and managing technology-specific spend, including SaaS and software licensing, cloud infrastructure, IT hardware, marketing, and professional services.
• Strong knowledge of SaaS and cloud commercial models, software licensing, SLAs, data privacy and security clauses, MSAs, and vendor risk management.
• Experience with software asset management, license optimization, build-versus-buy evaluations, procurement platforms such as Zip and Coupa, and FinOps or cloud cost management tools.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, stakeholder management, governance, and process-building skills in high-growth technology environments.

• MBA, CPSM, CPM, or CSCP certification.
