Director, Strategic Procurement

What you will do

• Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement vision aligned with strategic business priorities.
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives, competitive bid processes, and executive-level supplier negotiations.
• Build multi-year sourcing strategies for major spend categories including SaaS, cloud, and professional services.
• Oversee procurement transformation, including process optimization and the adoption of digital procurement technologies.
• Partner with Finance, Engineering, and Legal to align procurement strategies with organizational goals and risk management.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing procurement team while fostering a culture of strategic thinking and accountability.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive procurement or strategic sourcing experience, with 5+ years in a Director+ level role.
• Must be based in New York City.
• Demonstrated expertise in negotiating technology-specific spend, including SaaS licensing, cloud infrastructure, and IT hardware.
• Deep understanding of SaaS commercial models, software asset management, and vendor risk management.
• Proficiency with spend management platforms like Zip and Coupa.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to model TCO, ROI, and cost-benefit scenarios.
