Procurement Lead

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco or New York, with in-person work required 3+ days per week.

Salary: $190,000–$240,000 per year plus equity.

What you will do

• Build and implement the first company-wide procurement process, approval routing, policies, and operating model.
• Configure procurement workflows in the existing procure-to-pay platform and create spend reporting by category, vendor, and department.
• Own vendor onboarding, due diligence, risk assessment, performance management, and renewals.
• Lead strategic sourcing, RFPs, vendor selection, and contract negotiations for business stakeholders.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Security, Compliance, IT, and business owners to create efficient purchasing workflows.
• Establish procurement controls supporting audit readiness, SOX compliance, security, and data privacy requirements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive procurement experience, including building or significantly maturing procurement at a high-growth technology company.
• Experience designing procurement processes, policies, and systems from the ground up.
• Experience with RFPs, vendor selection, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiation across multiple spend categories.
• Experience partnering with Security, Compliance, and Legal on vendor risk assessments.
• Strong cross-functional partnership skills and comfort operating in significant ambiguity.
• Based in San Francisco or New York and able to work in person at least 3 days per week.

• Experience with modern procurement and spend management platforms with AI-enabled functionalities.

• Familiarity with SOX controls and audit requirements related to procurement.
