TL;DR

Staff Technical Product & Program Manager (Autonomous Systems): Driving the development of coherent architectures for future hardware platforms and delivering fallback systems with an accent on hardware-software integration and SoC-based compute platforms. Focus on de-risking architectural decisions, optimizing the hirify.global Driver Architecture for scale, and integrating vendor-supplied fallback systems.

Location: Hybrid (Mountain View, CA). Must be based in Mountain View, CA with occasional travel expected.

Salary: $181,000 – $262,000 per year

What you will do

  • Partner with senior executives to drive architectural proposals and evaluate new technologies.
  • Coordinate across engineering teams to ensure architectures meet business goals and support hardware transitions.
  • Transform ambiguous challenges into actionable architectural solutions and improvements.
  • Manage foundational toolchain and performance efforts for Automotive SoC-based compute platforms.
  • Lead the definition and delivery of first and third-party fallback systems.
  • Develop detailed engineering plans and facilitate executive program reviews.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a TPM, PM, or EM in autonomous systems, robotics, or embedded systems with an architecture focus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Information Systems, or a related area.
  • Strong technical aptitude to understand complex designs and the software development lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in project management using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Ability to work in Mountain View, CA.

Nice to have

  • Graduate degree in a related field.
  • Experience with Pytorch, Tensorrt, CUDA, and/or DRIVE OS.
  • Experience with large-scale software platform migrations or hardware resource optimization.
  • Background in functional safety, system safety, or safety engineering.
  • Experience managing programs with a mix of internal and third-party stakeholders.
