What you will do

• Supervise fire protection staff to develop concepts, construction documents, and engineering reports for new and renovation projects.
• Design and manage fire protection systems, specifically fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems.
• Perform code and egress analysis for new buildings, additions, and renovations.
• Design smoke control systems using Contam or similar design software.
• Manage project financial performance, schedules, and staff resources to ensure efficient workflow.
• Lead client relations and write proposals to initiate and maintain new business.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience with a professional A/E services firm.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Fire Science.
• New York Professional Engineer’s License is preferred.
• Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
