Salary: $90,000 - $122,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead detailed HVAC mechanical design for data center facilities from concept through construction documents.
• Perform load calculations, psychrometric analysis, and sizing for ductwork and piping.
• Model and analyze hydronic systems using PipeFlo and energy analysis tools like Trane Trace or Carrier HAP.
• Produce design documentation using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems into broader facility designs.
• Support construction administration, including RFI responses and submittal reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of professional HVAC design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Proficiency in load calculation software (Trane Trace, Carrier HAP) and hydronic modeling (PipeFlo).
• Strong working knowledge of ICC/UPC codes and ASHRAE standards.
• Must be able to work onsite in Houston, San Francisco, or Long Beach.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with data center cooling topologies (CRAC/CRAH, chillers, economization).
• Familiarity with high-density and liquid cooling approaches.
• Experience with CFD analysis and commissioning (FAT/SAT).
