What you will do

• Supervise staff to develop fire protection concepts, construction documents, and engineering reports for new builds and renovations.
• Design and manage fire protection systems, specifically fire sprinklers and fire alarms.
• Perform code and egress analysis for various building projects.
• Design smoke control systems using Contam or similar design software.
• Lead large multi-discipline design projects and perform hydraulic calculations.
• Manage project financial performance, schedules, and drive business development through proposal writing and client relationship management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience with a professional A/E services firm.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Fire Science.
• Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure.
• New York Professional Engineer’s (PE) License preferred.
