What you will do

• Perform daily inspections of mechanical and plumbing systems for airport terminal and building projects.
• Review construction blueprints, shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs to ensure conformance to plans.
• Prepare comprehensive daily reports documenting all observed construction activities and deficiencies.
• Verify contractor compliance with local and national codes and LAWA-specific standards.
• Track time-and-material work and validate contractor progress payment requests.
• Coordinate special inspections and testing activities with engineers and third-party agencies.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience performing mechanical inspections on large-scale Public Works projects.
• Current ICC Certification as a Commercial Mechanical Inspector.
• 30-hour Cal-OSHA training received within the last 4 years.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Los Angeles, CA.

Nice to have

• Additional ICC certifications as a commercial Plumbing Inspector.
• Training and knowledge of NFPA 70, 70E, and 72 standards.
• Experience at the journey-level as an electrician.
• Plumbing experience at the journeyman or master level.
• Experience inspecting mechanical systems of large-scale commercial or industrial buildings.
