What you will do

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving robotics, PLCs, machine vision, and motion control.
• Support the performance, reliability, and uptime of multiple robotic assembly systems.
• Perform root cause analysis using production data and system diagnostics.
• Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and implement improvements.
• Interpret electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings to diagnose equipment failures.
• Create technical documentation and train personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience supporting industrial automation or robotic manufacturing systems.
• Hands-on experience with industrial robotics, PLCs, and machine vision.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments (e.g., electronics, semiconductor, automotive).
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, controls, and software systems.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Cork, Ireland

Nice to have

• Experience with FANUC robotics (including DCS) and Beckhoff PLC programming.
• Knowledge of Cognex or Matrox vision systems.
• Experience with industrial printers (Zebra, Hermes) and industrial networking.
• Basic 3D CAD experience, preferably SolidWorks.
• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering.
