What you will do

• Lead the underwriting process, manage deal timelines, and develop credit recommendations.
• Prepare underwriting narratives and independent cash flow estimates for complex transactions.
• Evaluate market competitiveness and economic feasibility of proposed collateral.
• Model and review financial statements and property valuations.
• Review third-party reports from appraisers, surveyors, and engineers for compliance.
• Collaborate with production, closing, and legal teams to facilitate loan approvals.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA
• 5+ years of experience underwriting Multifamily and Commercial Real Estate Loans.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial real estate underwriting and cash flow forecasting.
• Experience in high-volume environments with the ability to meet deadlines independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel as needed to execute role expectations.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• Experience with new construction, office, and retail properties.
• Completion of a formal commercial loan underwriting training program (e.g., Omega).
• Experience with Moody’s Credit Lens.
