What you will do

• Lead instrument software and firmware development programs for implantable cardiac devices.
• Manage program estimation, planning, scheduling, and tracking to ensure milestones are met.
• Collaborate with architects, systems engineers, and product managers to drive program scope and budget.
• Provide work direction to software engineering teams, including employees and vendor resources.
• Communicate program status, risks, and issues to internal and external stakeholders.
• Foster a positive team culture and provide performance feedback to functional leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field and minimum 7 years of technical work experience (or advanced degree with 5 years).
• Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
• Strong understanding of project management and the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Proven leadership skills in a matrixed environment.
• Ability to work on-site 4 days per week in Mounds View, MN.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience leading software development projects in the Med-Tech industry.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience managing geographically distributed teams and vendor resources.
• Experience working in regulated environments and global regulatory standards.
