What you will do

• Inspect commercial, industrial, residential, and hospitality buildings for fire and life safety compliance.
• Evaluate fire suppression, detection, and alarm systems against building codes and technical manuals.
• Identify and report all code deviations using provided tools.
• Communicate with building owners and managers to explain inspection procedures and compliance requirements.
• Verify that violations have been corrected and take appropriate action to ensure safety.
• Maintain current knowledge of applicable regulations, standards, and professional literature.

Requirements

• University Degree (Associate's or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fire Safety Engineering preferred.
• Generally five years of experience as an inspector, building contractor, or engineer.
• ICC Combo Commercial Inspector certification.
• Certified Electrical Plans Examiner.
• Ability to interpret building codes and identify non-compliant installations.
• Proficiency in computer skills and verbal communication.
