Senior Building Surveyor (Built Asset Consultancy)

Location: Leeds, United Kingdom; hybrid working

What you will do

• Manage building surveying projects, commissions, and client-facing delivery from inception to completion.
• Act as Contract Administrator and Employer’s Agent.
• Prepare designs, technical specifications, pre-acquisition surveys, PPM and asset condition schedules.
• Perform quality and technical monitoring, including bank and fund monitoring.
• Diagnose defects, deliver dilapidations work, and prepare Party Wall Awards.
• Promote technical best practice, build client relationships, and contribute to successful commercial outcomes.

Requirements

• Degree qualification in Building Surveying or a similar technical discipline.
• MRICS membership or membership of another relevant professional body.
• Exposure to CDM and health and safety requirements.
• Project-based experience and a track record of managing projects from inception to completion.
• Ability to manage complex projects proactively and diligently while prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent specification writing skills and good knowledge of JCT contracts.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing project teams.
• Previous employment by a consultancy.
• Client-facing approach, high standards of technical delivery, ability to build long-term relationships, and a team-oriented, outgoing, flexible, and motivated manner.
