What you will do
- Directly manage an in-house team of designers and oversee the development of design processes.
- Undertake Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015 and lead health and safety practices.
- Coordinate civil and infrastructure design activities, including drawings, reports, specifications, estimates, and document management.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, project planning, programming, commercial management, audits, and design team workload.
- Maintain communication with project managers, clients, design teams, neighbours, and other stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance, resolve project issues, and support the professional development of junior engineers, technicians, and apprentices.
Requirements
- Experience managing and coordinating civil or infrastructure design work.
- Technical expertise in preparing and reviewing design documentation and solutions.
- Knowledge of client specifications, design standards, quality control, and environmental procedures.
- Ability to coordinate multiple disciplines and maintain effective client relationships.
