What you will do

• Perform routine and advanced mammalian cell culture, including maintenance, expansion, and cryopreservation across various cell types.
• Manage cell banks, conduct quality checks (STR profiling, mycoplasma status), and coordinate reagent procurement.
• Execute and analyze flow cytometry/FACS data for cell characterization.
• Translate manual cell culture protocols into automated or semi-automated workflows on the company's platform.
• Author and optimize SOPs to streamline operations and reduce variability across workflows.
• Mentor junior Research Associates on aseptic techniques and maintain a safe BSL-2 lab environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field with 4+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of experience.
• Proven expertise in culturing a broad range of mammalian cells (primary, stem, iPSC) with strong aseptic technique.
• Hands-on experience with flow cytometry/FACS and automated liquid handlers.
• Strong data analysis skills and meticulous documentation habits using ELN or similar systems.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including automation, software, and robotics.
• Must be based in or eligible to work in Cambridge, MA, USA

Nice to have

• Experience with iPSC differentiation, primary cell isolation, or 3D culture systems.
• Familiarity with cell line authentication and quality control practices.
• Experience developing new culture protocols from literature or from scratch.
• Comfort using AI-native tools for troubleshooting and data analysis.
