What you will do

• Lead day-to-day activities of the in vivo team and oversee the development of junior staff.
• Execute a variety of studies, including efficacy, biodistribution, pharmacokinetics, and toxicokinetics.
• Perform complex dosing and surgical procedures such as IV, IP, SC, IM, and PO administrations.
• Acquire and analyze images using PET, SPECT, CT, and MRI technologies.
• Develop and enforce laboratory-specific standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manage lab space.
• Liaise with IACUC and internal stakeholders to ensure strict compliance with animal use protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Animal Science, or related field with 7+ years of experience, or a higher degree with 5+ years of relevant in vivo research experience.
• Must be located in or able to work onsite in Needham, MA.
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring and training laboratory staff.
• Proficiency in IV dosing and minor surgical procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and availability for occasional weekend/after-hours work.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience in a professional preclinical imaging environment.
• Experience with microdissection of specific tissues, such as lymph nodes or brain sections.
• Competence in survival surgery and CNS administration.
