What you will do

• Define and optimize upstream processes from shake flasks to 40-L bioreactors.
• Execute lentiviral vector production workflows, including transient transfection and cell line optimization.
• Perform media optimization, feeding strategies, and process control adjustments to improve yield and robustness.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities to support technology transfer to technical development teams.
• Prepare technical reports and present scientific findings to support process development decisions.
• Maintain BSL-2 biosafety standards and accurate electronic lab notebook documentation.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• MS with 4+ years or PhD with 1+ year of industry experience in Bioengineering, Virology, or related field.
• Hands-on experience in viral vector production and mammalian suspension cell culture.
• Strong background in molecular biology techniques including PCR/qPCR/dPCR and plasmid construction.
• Experience scaling upstream processes from shake flasks to bioreactor systems.
• Ability to work onsite in Philadelphia, PA.
