Product Assurance & Safety Support Engineer (Space)

Location: Noordwijk, Netherlands; the role may require frequent and prolonged missions in and outside Europe.

What you will do

• Establish and maintain Product Assurance and Safety requirements baselines, documentation, dashboards, and trend analyses for space projects and programmes.
• Review contractor plans, specifications, proposed activities, and implementation of PA&S requirements.
• Monitor non-conformances, anomalies, failures, deviations, waivers, problems, critical items, and related corrective actions.
• Support manufacturing, integration, and test activities through audits, inspections, test witnessing, configuration inspections, and recommendations to ESA projects.
• Support acceptance reviews, project reviews, safety reviews, NRB and CCB meetings, including agendas, minutes, action tracking, and close-out activities.
• Coordinate PA&S discipline experts, support technology readiness assessments and launch campaigns, contribute to training and lessons learned, and provide status reporting to ESA.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in the space sector, including 5 years in Product and Quality Assurance.
• Proven experience delivering Product and Quality Assurance activities for spacecraft units.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multinational environment and deliver high-quality outputs.
• Experience with spacecraft-level test campaigns is an asset.
