Systems Engineer for Space Debris

Location: Darmstadt, Hesse, Germany, supporting the ESA Space Debris Office in the Netherlands. Hybrid working model with up to 8 weeks per year of teleworking outside the usual geographical area; occasional travel mainly within the EU.

What you will do

• Support the technical management of ESA system activities for Space Debris.
• Contribute across the complete project lifecycle, from requirements definition to integration, validation, and deployment.
• Apply systems engineering practices to Space Debris projects and ESA activities.
• Travel occasionally, mainly within the EU, as required by project activities.

Requirements

• Expertise in systems engineering.
• Background and interest in Space Debris projects for ESA.
• Knowledge of the ESA Space Safety Programme and its Space Debris technologies.
• Knowledge of ECSS project management standards.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with ESA Clean Space technologies.
