Field Services Engineer (Aerospace and Automotive)

Location: Onsite in Amsterdam, Netherlands; frequent customer travel required, up to approximately 80% including weekends, with possible extended onsite stays.

What you will do

• Provide technical support for flight simulation and automotive test products.
• Perform hands-on mechanical maintenance, servicing, and overhauls of hirify.global systems.
• Diagnose complex issues across electro-mechanical, electrohydraulic, mechatronic, and software-enabled systems.
• Represent hirify.global during customer visits, provide customer-focused support, and develop strong customer relationships.
• Identify commercial opportunities and collaborate with sales on proposal development.
• Organize technical support and field service activities for multiple products and the global installed base.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with an interest in measurement and control or automation, or an MBO qualification with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to diagnose complex technical problems and implement solutions independently or collaboratively.
• Experience with software tools, service applications, and configuration databases.
• Strong planning, organization, documentation, and configuration-control skills.
• Effective communication, consensus-building, and multidisciplinary problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work overtime, including evenings and weekends, when required by machine breakdowns or customer needs.
